Identity Verification Policy

Who gets verified, when, what we check, and what we store.

Hosts (live today)

Hosts complete identity verification and a live interview before their profile goes public. Safety training and affiliation checks are being added. A host profile only ever displays checks that were actually completed.

NADRI does not currently perform criminal-background checks and never claims to. Whether and how such checks can be performed lawfully in Korea is under separate legal review; until then, no 'background checked' label appears anywhere. [Legal review required]

Travelers (in preparation)

  • Verification is never required just to browse.
  • After a host accepts a booking and before payment, travelers will verify: email, phone, passport, and a face/liveness check through a certified external provider.
  • The provider processes the raw documents; NADRI stores only results (verified status, document type/country/expiry, face-match and liveness outcome, timestamps).
  • If verification fails, you'll see why and can retry or contact support; manual review is available.
  • You can request deletion of verification data through a privacy request.
