When you can cancel and what gets refunded.

1. Principles

  • If a host cancels or does not show up, the traveler is refunded in full.
  • If NADRI cancels a booking for safety or policy reasons before it starts, the traveler is refunded in full.
  • If an experience is ended early for a safety reason, the case goes to operations review rather than an automatic decision.
  • Refunds are always processed through NADRI, back to the original payment method.

2. Traveler cancellation — the tiers we actually apply

These are the exact percentages the booking system calculates. Refund policy version: 2026-09-03.

  • 72 hours or more before the start time: 100% refund.
  • Between 24 and 72 hours before the start time: 70% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before the start time: 50% refund.
  • After the start time has passed: 0% refund, and the cancellation goes to operations review rather than settling automatically.
  • If nothing has been charged yet, there is nothing to refund and cancelling costs you nothing.

Refund amounts are floored to the won, never rounded up. Because payment currently runs in manual mode (bank transfer confirmed by an operator), a cancellation before the operator confirms your transfer costs nothing. The tiers themselves are operator-configurable engineering defaults rather than a legal determination, and the wording is subject to confirmation in legal review. [Legal review required]

3. Host cancellation, NADRI cancellation and no-shows

  • Host cancels, at any notice: 100% refund to the traveler.
  • NADRI cancels for a safety or policy reason: 100% refund to the traveler.
  • Host no-show: 100% refund, and an operator reviews the case.
  • Traveler no-show: no automatic refund (0%), and an operator reviews the case because it is dispute-shaped.
  • Any cancellation tied to a safety stop is never settled automatically — a person decides before money moves.

No-show determinations are made by the operations team from chat records and, where CHECKIN_TOKEN_SECRET is configured, QR check-in records.

4. Force majeure and disputes

Severe weather, disasters or other events that make a safe meeting impossible are handled case-by-case, defaulting toward a full refund or free rescheduling. If you disagree with a refund decision, reply in your booking chat or contact support; disputes are reviewed by a person, and the booking's records are preserved during the dispute.

5. Statutory withdrawal right (청약철회, e-Commerce Act art. 17)

Under article 17(1) of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, a consumer may withdraw a purchase within 7 days of the contract or of receiving the service documentation. Where that right applies, it takes precedence over the tiers in section 2 and you are refunded in full.

Nothing in that right or its exception limits your separate right to a full refund when the service was not provided as described, was defective, or differed from what was advertised.

Article 17(2) excludes services performed on a specific date at a specific time, where withdrawal would cause the seller irreparable loss. A NADRI outing is exactly that: a host holds one named date and time slot open and turns down other requests for it. We therefore apply the 7-day withdrawal right up to the point the tiers in section 2 begin to bite, and treat a cancellation close to the start time under those tiers instead. Which side of that line a given booking falls on, and the exact notice we must give you, require confirmation. [Legal review required]

6. Payment protection (구매안전서비스 / escrow)

Prepayment protection — an escrow or payment-guarantee arrangement under the e-Commerce Act — applies once NADRI's 통신판매업 신고 is complete and the payment provider is live. Until then it does not apply, and we say so rather than implying protection we do not have.

Today payment runs in manual mode: after a host accepts, you transfer the fee directly and an operator confirms receipt inside the platform. Your protection in this period is the refund rules above plus a human dispute review — not an escrow deposit. The form of guarantee NADRI must provide, and the point at which it becomes mandatory, require confirmation. [Legal review required]
